Mexico to sue US gun machines if cartels called terrorists

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said Friday that if the United States appointed Mexican cartels as terrorist organizations, Mexico would have to expand his suits against American gunmakers.

Mexico says its cartels largely get weapons brought across the border from the United States and have sued gun producers in the United States for their alleged role in the arming of criminals.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has threatened to feel the cartels as foreign terrorist organizations. In addition, the US military has also increased its airborne surveillance of Mexican drug cartels to collect intelligence to determine how they can best counteract their activities, the top US general, who oversees troops in North America on Thursday, February 13.

“We have also increased some unique military capabilities that get after … the cartels that drive the illegal migration, and it is primarily through airborne ISR to get more information about them and find out how we can counteract their actions, “The aforementioned Air Force General Gregory Guillot, head of the US northern command.

ISR stands for intelligence, monitoring and reconnaissance.

When asked if he would need an airline group in the water between the United States and Mexico, Guillot said, “I need significantly increased maritime presence in collaboration with the Coast Guard.”

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, who spoke before Guillot, made his remarks said that Mexico was not alarmed by the flights when they were over American territory but wanted more details.

“This is not the first time there have been flights of this type; it is not out of nowhere … we will ask for an explanation? Yes, but as part of our coordination with them,” she said.
