Fire breaks out at previous motel and restaurant

Grayson, Ky. (WSAZ) -Firefighters from several departments are on stage with a fire on the old Shangrila restaurant and Motel, according to Carter County 911 transmitters.

The fire started just before 7 p.m. 10.45 Wednesday, confirming senders.

The route area 60 near this property is closed in both directions.

Senders say Route 60 remains closed for an indefinite time.

According to Grayson Fire Department there were four apartments on the back of the building

Everyone came out safely, says the crews.

Firefighters believe that flames began in a kitchen in an apartment.

The building has been considered a loss of firefighters on stage.
