The Philadelphia couple has surprising commitment after Eagles wins the Super Bowl

Philadelphia Eagles weren’t the only ones getting a ring on the Super Bowl Night!

Eagles -Fan Collin Thomas pulled out his own bling to jump the question to the long -time girlfriend Aida Annetti just after their favorite team won Big Game at Real’s Restaurant & Bar located in northeastern Philadelphia.

“She thought they cheered because Eagles won the Super Bowl. But when she turned around it was when I stopped the question,” Thomas told CBS News Philadelphia.

Annonti told the business she was shocked and did not expect the surprise. She remembered, “I was speechless for a minute or two. My sister had to tell me, ‘Girl, get up!’ ”

Video caught by the event and shared with CBS News Philadelphia showed that Thomas came down on one knee in his Eagles jersey and held a box of the engagement ring inside. Annetti, in an Eagles jacket, could be seen that he looks shocked for a few moments before saying yes and sharing a kiss with his future groom.

In another clip, Antonton reached out his hand to show off her square diamond ring on a track that was set to family and friends as her new fiancé rose on a chair to celebrate the engagement.

“She got her ring before Cowboys got their ring,” he joked to CBS News Philadelphia.

Thomas told CBS News that they met 11 years ago – before his future bride became a football fan. Although he noticed, “It didn’t take long for her to convert,” and the couple made it a tradition to watch Eagles games together.

“When I get the ball and hand it over to her, we both got the ball. It’s called a team partnership,” Thomas said using sports conditions to explain their relationship.

Antonti chimged in, “he has always been loving and caring, and nothing changes it.”

The couple told CBS News Philadelphia that they are planning to keep the celebration going on Valentine’s Day, on Friday, February 14, which is also when the Philadelphia Eagles parade is to take place in the heart of the city.

“We are determined to go,” Annonti said. “I don’t care how early we have to get up!”

The Eagles defeated Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 on Sunday, February 9 in the Super Bowl 2025, led to massive parties throughout Philadelphia.
