NYC could see ‘Sneciest’ Storm in the season, Midwest could see -60 wind coolings

New York City could soon face the “snowyest” storm of the season after enduring flurries of powder over the past week -mens a polar swirl could blow in subzero temperatures with wind cooling as steep as -60 degrees across parts of the United States.

On Sunday, Big Apple is expected to see heights in the 50s with heavy rain later in the evening, followed by temperatures in low 20s and heights in the 30s to Wednesday, Fox Weather Meteorologist Cody Braud told the post.

But a subsequent storm expected to move up the east coast late on Wednesday and Thursday could end up dumping six or more inches of snow on Big Apple, he said.

“It would be our snow -term storm in the season so far with a long shot,” Braud told the Post. “The probability of maybe getting a six inch or more blizzard is probably over 50%when we’re talking right now.”

Further west, meanwhile, the top Midwestern states, especially Dakotas and Minnesota, are intended to face dangerous cold temperatures from Sunday to Tuesday from a polar vertebra, Braud said.

“This is where you want to see temperatures below zero, and when you enter the wind, you feel as low as a negative 40 to negative 60,” Braud told the post.

The National Weather Service warned that the subzero temperatures could be dangerous to those who are underdressed or unprepared.

“The dangerously cold wind coolers as low as 55 below zero can cause frost damage to exposed skin at as little as 5 minutes,” said the weather service. “The risk of hypothermia increases under these conditions.”

The free temperatures extend further into the south later in the week on Thursday and Friday, with the central Texas facing low temperatures in the “single digits”, while parts of Kansas and Missouri will be subzero, Braud said.

Memphis, Georgia and Alabama are also expected to endure temperatures in teens, he added.

“For that region, it is considered an extremely hard freezing, very harmful to the crops,” Braud said.

“Their infrastructure is not as used to seeing extreme colds like that,” he added.

The estimated 241 million Americans in the lower 48 states are set to face freezing temperatures at one point of the week with 37 million planned for subzero temperatures, Braud said.
