Old-School Country is on the menu today on disclaimer.

Jon Pardi, Bryce Leatherwood and the Discovery Award winner Chase McDaniel put the tone in the listening session.

For the icing on the cake of this traditional cake we also have a collection of witnessed masters in Old-School Country Craft. Joe Nichols, Moe Bandy and Disc of the Day winner Trace Adkins are here to show Kiddies how it’s done.

Bryce Leatherwood / “Where the bar is”
Authors: Chase McGill/Cole Taylor/Michael Carter/Shane Minor; Producer: WILL BUNDY; Label: Umg Nashville
-He is such a solid country singer and this is a real-blue Honky-Tonk song. I don’t quite understand the decision to record him with a track that cuts this hard.

Colt Ford & Michael Ray / “Hell Out of It”
Authors: Cole Taylor/Lalo Guzman/Michael Tyler/Thomas Archer; Producer: Dylan Maloney; Label: Average Joe’s Entertainment
– We are little people in a small town, but we love who we are. Rusing and sincere.

Chase McDaniel / “Burned Down Heaven”
Authors: Chase McDaniel/Jon Nite/Lindsay rimes; Producer: Lindsay rimes; Label: Large machine registers
– Excellent. The song about regret and guilt is strongly written, and his tender, soaring vocals sell it as no business. Wonderfully listenable.

Moe Bandy / “Pure Love”
Author: Eddie Rabbitt; Producer: Jimmy Capps; Label: Starvista
– This hit maker from the 1970s and 1980s has an upcoming album entitled Songs I missed. This Advance Single is his version of Ronnie MilSaps 1974 -cards top. Bandy’s slightly pitch-y reproduction does not delete the memory of the original, but it is straightforward, well-meaning and completely land.

Ryan Hurd / “Die for IT”
Authors: Mark Holman/Randy Montana/Ryan Hurd; Producer: Aaron Eshuis; Label: Large machine registers
– The story of a marriage. Things can get stoned but love always lasts. The Jangly guitars and an octave-leap-backing vocals are ear catches. But the stable state, minimal melody goes nowhere in its endless loop.

Track adkins / “what color is your wild”
Authors: Casey Beathard/Monty Criswell; Producer: Bart Butler; Label: Verge
– The big man can still deliver the goods. And how. This stomper is filled with charisma, and the color -coded lyric of persecution of passion is fantastic. I hung on every note. Significant sound.

Sam Williams / “Countrystar”
Authors: Marisa Maino/Nick Bailey/Ryder Johnson/Sam Williams; Producer: Nick Bailey; Label: Umg Nashville
-Han’s soft, resilient singing style doesn’t really come with the rope, hip-hop-backing track. However, it is strikingly different.

Jon Pardi / “Love the Lights Out”
Authors: Jimi Bell/Jon Pardi/Matt Dragstrem; Producer: Jay Joyce; Label: Capitol Records Nashville
– Let’s rock out, honey and have a really, really big night with love making. Pardi’s vocals are, as usual, land with a capital “C.” Correctly rings guitars do the rest of the work. Recommended.

Nate Smith & Hardy / “No one likes your girlfriend”
Authors: Ben Johnson/Hunter Phelps/Jessie Jo Dillon/Michael Hardy; Producer: Lindsay rimes; Label: RCA Records Nashville
– You must love such a title. Here is the core of the song: “From mate to buddy I tell you something you may not want to hear. The mad you are dating is not good for you. “The lyrics are quick fire, but crystal clear when vocalizing over a minced, grinding track. Snappy and wise.

Joe Nichols & Annie Bosko / “Better than you”
Authors: Derek George/John Pierce; Manufacturers: Derek George/Mickey Jack Cones; Label: Quartz Hill Records
– I love a good country loveduet and this one is a dandy. Joe is of course a masterful country singer, but Annie follows him. She also harmonizes wonderfully. A nice achievement.

Lance cowan / “love anyway”
Author: Lance Cowan; Manufacturers: Jason Stelluto/Scott Paschall; Label: Lantzapalooza Müzik
-Music Row Publicist Lance Cowan is also a fantastic singer-songwriter. His second album, Against the grainfalling next month. Its Advance Single addresses the political divide that is so pervasive today. “IF There is ever hope of change, love anyway, ” He sings in his tender tenor, while acoustic piano and guitar notes ripple around him. Innocent, touching and gently folk. Cowan appearances in the listening room with Mark Irwin and Irene Kelley next Wednesday (March 5).

Louie the singer / “Good girl”
Authors: Joe Ginsberg/Luis Palacios II/Nate Kenyon; Producer: CANDY; Label: Umg Nashville
-This Mexican-American sings in this slowly burning ditty that he is a bad boy. What’s more, he’s doing well if she can’t accept it and doesn’t fall for him. So ”If you don’t want a bad boy I’m good, girl. “His Texas traits are supported by a twanging track that loves with.
