20 minutes new slot game, launched March 20 – PlayStation.blog

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Is only two weeks away, and in anticipation of its 20 March launch on PS5, we have released 20 minutes of new gameplay showing Naoe and Yasuke, which infiltrates Nijo Palace, the castle complex (also known as a Tenshu) in Kyoto, a large city in the larger region of Yamashiro.

Assassin's Creed Shadows: 20 minutes of New Castle GamePlay, launched March 20

Castles in Assassin’s Creed Shadows are fortresses, filled with hostile guards, valuable resources and a precious thieves. Conquering a Tenshu means removing any samurai daisho in the premises that unlock the loot breast, giving you powerful equipment. You can see the contents of these chests as you hover over the slot icon on the map.

Castles are only one of many activities in Assassin’s Creed Shadows that you can implement to increase your knowledge event, giving you access to higher level and upgrades. To finish them will also earn you experience and mastery points that you can use to directly upgrade Naoe and Yasuk’s abilities. In addition, castles are full of resources that you can require for your hiding place. Smaller resource bundles can be picked up manually, while larger warehouses can be labeled by Naoe and Yasuke to be picked up and delivered to your hiding place by scouts at the change of seasons.

Naoe Stealth approach

Our review begins with Naoes Stealthy approach at night. After sending a circumference protection with her hidden blade, she quickly goes to the roofs with the help of her giant hook and begins to scout out near patrols. Unlike the recent games in the series, in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you don’t have the ability to call on an aviary ally to scout from heaven for you. Instead, keep L2 to use OBERVEN MEHEHANIC and FOCUS NAOE or YASUKE’s vision on an enemy/lens/thieves to feel it.

While scouting, Naoe discovers a Samurai Daisho, an elite guard to be removed to conquer Tenshu and demand its ultimate reward. With her Tanto magazine, which is equipped, Naoe can double murder goals, but Samurai Daisho’s abundant health means she can’t take him out with a hit … yet. Shadows’ gear not only offers different state bonuses, but unique engravings that can change your strategy at any time. In this case, Naoe swaps its headgear to a piece that causes bonus damage to air murder – enough to take Samurai Daisho out in a single stroke.

Further into the castle, Naoe urges the help of one of her recruited allies, Gennojo. He is able to stun a few enemies nearby who allow Naoe to close the gap and take them out both. Gennojo is just one of several recruitable allies who can be called up in the open world for help (fun fact, each allied is called with another bird call). Once these guards are taken out, the Naoe Eagle uses vision to include the interior of a nearby building.

Hostile enemies appear in red in the eagle’s vision, while civilians will throw an orange silhouette. However, be warned: Just because civilians do not attack you does not mean they do not raise the alarm if they see you. Fortunately, Naoe is able to use a number of new stealth features to avoid detection. She starts by turning off a nearby lantern that itches in the dark. She then uses her fighting hook to pull up to the ceiling to avoid a patrol before falling down and murdering another Samurai Daisho through a shoji door with her Katana.

Yasuke Stealth approach

Now let’s turn to Yasuke as he approaches the palace. Yasuke is perhaps a one-man army in shadows, but he is still able to sneak around. Without a giant hook, he uses a nearby low hanging tree to take to the roofs before pulling out his bow to put a guard out of reach. Then, while bending, he sneaks up on another guard and sends him with a brutal murder with his long Katana. It’s not as conspicuous as a hidden magazine, but hey, it gets the job done and doesn’t warn anyone else in the area.

Yasuke’s infiltration takes place during the day, so he does not have the advantage of hiding in the shadows that Naoe did, but by sticking to the roofs and using the geometry on the roofs, he can remain hidden while searching prone. Here, Yasuke calls on another ally, Oni-Yuri, a poison specialist who can knock more enemies unconscious.

As he moves into the next courtyard, Yasuke sees a bell tower that can warn the entire Tenshu of his presence if he is to be noted, but with his bow (or Naoes Shuriken or Kunai) he can disarm the bell tower. Now is the time to go high and take an entrance to take out the final Samurai Daisho. Yasuke starts by shooting a mushy drone with his bow, taking out a nearby guard before changing his bow out of a massive Kanabo club. Hulking Weapon’s stroke overwhelms Samurai -Daisk and serves Yasuke another mastery point.

Naoe Combat approach

When we switch back to Naoe for a fighting approach, we see how good a fighter she can be. This begins by exchanging her stealth gear with a more combat-focused headgear and armor that allows her to vault enemies by sprinting on them and knocking them down by sliding into them. Finally, her Tanto is replaced with a legendary kusarigama that increases the damage to enemies over three meters away. Kusarigama is Naoe’s long range melee weapon, great for crowd control and fighting for multiple enemies at once. It also allows Naoe to rush to murder her target (Rush Assilat is a passive ability that is possible every time Kusarigama is one of Naoe’s two equipped weapons and does not cost adrenaline to use) by wrapping one end of Kusarigama around them and using it to throw it to murder.

When Naoe comes to an elevated position, she realizes that a servant who discovered her earlier has returned with reinforcements. Instead of dealing with them herself, she calls her Ally Yaya, a Hulking Brawler, to take care of them for her. With the strengths that are handled, Naoe is able to use the observation mechanic to scout Takahashi Shiro, a member of the winding wood family she has been assigned to murder. This time, Naoe’s air assassination attempts do only partial damage, which means she has a fight on her hands. With the help of a combination of smoke bombs and her kusarigama, she quickly does work with the weaker guards as she dances around Shiro and dismantles his armor before advancing for killing. With her target murdered and samurai daisho removed, Naoe is free to scale Nijo Tenshu and open her chest and earn a new legendary armor set for Yasuke. Her race ends with her scaling Tenshu to a synchronization point using the observation mechanic to scout our nearby points of interest.

Yasuke Combat approach

We end the review with Yasukes bread and butter, battle. As with Naoe, it begins with a gear exchange as Katana and Kanabo are replaced with a naginata and teppo (a single-shot riff). Yasuke’s last armor was ideal for stealth as it gave a 200% damage bonus to varied weapons while out of battle. However, this approach will be high, so he needs a new armor set, and thanks to a unique engraving, the new set allows him to pair unclockable attacks (red glowing attacks that can usually only be avoided). The armor is particularly pairing well with the accompanying helmet, which causes 50% damage to the attacker on Parry. Not only can Yasuke Parry any attack now, but he reflects 50% of this injury left on the attacker.

It is not often that you can walk in “guns that flame” in the crisp gambling of a assassin, but that is exactly what Yasuke does and smashes down the door before performing the closest guard with his teppo. With Yasuke’s size comes some boldness (he can take and toast more damage than Naoe in a straight up battle), and he sprints straight through the yard to confront Takahashi Shiro. By exercising his naginata and parreying almost any attack thrown against him, Yasuke quickly sends all the guards and even takes off Shiro without too much trouble. He may not be the climber that Naoe is, but Yasuke is still rising on Tenshu to demand the valued breast and conquer the Nijo Palace.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ two different heroes offer dramatically different abilities, weapons and Playstyles, but Naoe and Yasuke are versatile enough to change their approach so you can sneak or fight on the go. Smash through the front door or lurking in the shadows for yourself on March 20, when Assassin’s Creed Shadows is launched on PlayStation 5.
