Reddit adds new tools to help users contribute and connect across its platform

Reddit announced on Thursday that it introduces a set of new tools to make it easier for users to participate in its platform. The features are designed to help users find communities, ensure that their posts do not break any rules and understand how to contribute across the social network.

Combined, the features are designed to improve the Redditor -Presection Experience by making it easier to contribute posts, especially for newer users who may not understand how Reddit works or where to send.

For starters, the company says it will start to help users find the right community for their audience with “Society proposals.”

If a user has created a post and is unsure which society to send in, a “Pick a Community” -Ropdown will now offer relevant subbreddit recommendations based on the contents of the post. This is what Reddit thinks will make it easier for users to connect to the right audience when they create a new post.

Another new “Post Check” feature will help users decide if their posts may break any of the subbreddit rules so they can update it before they are published. The idea behind this feature is to help users who may otherwise have broken rules accidentally and had their posts removed.

Users can access the tool by clicking the Wand icon in the lower right corner of the post composer. Then the tool will highlight any content that may have broken a rule.

Reddit also rolls out a tool that allows users to reload content that was removed to another subbreddit. When a user’s submission is removed due to community rules, they will see a new prompt during this post that will help them reposition the content of a suggested alternative subbreddit.

Plus, when users choose a society that needs to be submitted but does not meet the criteria of this community, Reddit will now offer recommendations on how to contribute to this community. For example, Reddit may notify you that you are unable to contribute to a society because you do not meet the minimum criteria for karma (an online reputation score) and that you have to earn more by sending or commenting across Reddit.

In addition, Reddit improved his “post -insight” feature to allow users to see how well their posts are doing. Now you can see dates related to your views, upvotes, stocks and more.

With this information, Reddit users will be able to understand what works well to help refine their approach to future posts.

All the new features are available from today on mobile and desktop for users around the world, the company says.
