India vs New Zealand Live Score, ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Final: NZ Win Toss, choose to beat; A change for black caps

India VS New Zealand Live Score, ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Final: New Zealand Captain Mitchell Santner won the throw and chose to beat India in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final at Dubai International Stadium on Sunday.

In a setback for New Zealand, the star Pacer Matt Henry has been excluded by the title clash due to a shoulder injury inflicted under field in the semi -finals against South Africa at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Nathan Smith has been named his replacement in The Playing XI.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma-led India has kept to their winning combination and the field an unchanged XI to the final.

“We want a bat first. Looks like a pretty good wicket, similar to the one we played India here a week ago. Would you like races on the board and see what happens. It obviously expected a pair of blue shirts, great atmosphere, big ground,” Santner said.

“Will be a little different from what we got in Pakistan. We saw how India played and what they got out of it. Hope it slows down a little later. Different guys have stepped up at different times. You want guys shooting from the start and we’ve done it, just like India. Unfortunately Matt Henry has been excluded, we’ve got Nathan Smith in,” he said.

“We’ve been here enough, fought first and bowled first, don’t really mind beating number two. It haven’t changed much, we’ve been chasing and won too. It gives you a lot of confidence, takes the thrown away from the game. At the end of the day, what matters is how good you want to play. It’s what we’ve spoken about in the cloth, not to worry about the mood and to play well, The good thing that we have joined us, as is good to do well.

India reserved their place in the summit after defeating Australia, while New Zealand upper -classed South Africa to reach the final.

Interestingly, both teams were part of Group A in the tournament and had already been exposed to in the group play.

India, the only undefeated side in the competition, had secured a compelling 44-run victory over New Zealand in this meeting.
