Rachel Zegler chalk up ‘Snow White’ setback as ‘passion’ for the original

Disney has generally received positive answers for most of the live action adaptations of their animated works. However, a project that has received setback ever since it was announced is the Live-Action Take on Snow white Based on the original animated film from 1937. Now Snow white Star Rachel Zegler, who will produce the live-action version of the titular character, criterates fans’ “passion” For the original movie as the reason for setbacks.

Zegler revealed that she was taking the situation while she was talking to Vogue Mexico Via Toonado. While some of the complaints about the project refer to the dependence on CGI to create her dwarfs, or that Disney simply reintroduces yet another animated classic of theirs, others were specifically unhappy that Zegler was thrown as snow white because of her ethnicity.

Now that’s what Zegler has to say:

“I interpret people’s feelings about this film as a passion for it, and what an honor to be able to be part of something that people are so passionate about,” She began. “We don’t always want the same feelings as everyone around us, and all we can do is give our best.”

In an attempt to satisfy anyone who may have doubts about the new project, she insists that Disney “Have found this beautiful, delicate balance between taking the animated classic that everyone knows and loves from 1937” while still “Introducing it to this new generation.”

In the end, we will have to see how the film works when it finally hits theaters in March. With reshoots, delays and multiple controversy, all of which increase the aura around the film, it will be interesting to finally have it in theaters of about a month.

Snow white Will be released on March 21, 2025. Keep an eye on Screengeek for any additional updates regarding the project and all other upcoming Disney projects as we have them.
