Mavericks says Anthony Davis makes improvements, no return date set

Anthony Davis has played in just one game with Mavs since the trade with Lakers.

Dallas (AP) – Dallas Mavericks said Friday that Anthony Davis improves daily, but gave no indication of when the tip they got in their trade with Luka Dončić may have been ready to play again.

Mavericks said a recent re -evaluation of Davis’ left adductor strain showed that he “improves daily and has therefore been cleared for more dynamic movements on the field.”

Davis has only played in a game for Dallas since the 10-time all-star was acquired in it Seismic Trade On February 2nd, which sent five-time all-star and stomach-fan favorite Dončić to Los Angeles Lakers.

Mavericks said the Center Dereck Lively II, which has been out since January 14 due to a right ankle stress fracture, progresses in its rehabilitation and has moved on to individual legal work. Davis and Lively are evaluated weekly.

After a dominant first half for Mavs in a 116-105 Victory over Houston On February 8, Davis pulled up limp late in the third quarter. He ended with 26 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists and three blocks.

Davis was out with an abdominal strain for his last two matches with Lakers, and the first two he could have played for Mavs.

Dallas went into his home match on Friday night against Memphis at the last western conference place to enter the NBAS Play-in tournament. That’s the 11th game for Davis to miss out on Mavericks who had 18 seasonal matches left after that.

Lakers are 9-2 since Dončić debuted on February 10th and is on a Eight-play-winning row.

Mavericks Center Daniel Gafford missed his 10th match Friday due to a right knee shrug. The team said that forford “showed progress” and would be evaluated again in two weeks.
