Charlie Cale is back on the run, and in Season 2 we have taken her journey to the next level one murder mystery at a time. From smaller league-baseball to Big Box Retail, from funeral houses to alligator holdings and even a school talent show, Charlie navigates her crime resolution of existential road-trip with deadpan-wit, human empathy and her signature creepy false-detecting ability.

To bring season 2 to live, we drew visual inspiration from the American 70s cinema, all the things we love like Robert Altman, Bob Rafelson, Peter Bogdanovich. But the backbone of this show is TV – the kind of TV we grew up watching, episodic cases of this week’s gems such as Columbo and Rockford files and Quantum Leap. Each episode is a mini movie found in its own world with a unique tone and mood, with an eccentric mass characters played by a real Gonzo parade of guest stars. We still can’t believe that we came to work with Rockstars like Cynthia Erivo, Katie Holmes, John Mulaney and Awkwafina (and many more, the list is quite staggering), which everyone is dying into the game with joy and came ready to play.

Poker Face is a mystery-of-the-week series after Natasha Lyonne’s Charlie, who has an extraordinary ability to decide when someone is lying. She hits the road with her Plymouth Barracuda and with each stop meets a new crew of grades and strange crimes that she cannot avoid solving.

The show’s critically acclaimed first season received four primetime Emmy nominations, including unique protagonist in a comedy series for Natasha Lyonne, and got the peacock his first Emmy victory for Judith Lights’s excellent guest actor performance in a comedy series.
