Reddit’s Rule Control Function Helps users avoid breaking subbreddit -Rules

Reddit has announced several new tools that seem to be designed to encourage more lurks to participate in discussions on the site. One of the new tools called Rules Check will make it easy to see if what you send potentially goes against the rules of a sureddit. Before you submit your post, you can click on the Wand icon in the lower right corner of the post composer, which you can see in the picture above. To do so will highlight everything in your post that may break a subbreddit’s rules. Reddit will start testing the feature on iOS and Android before giving it a wider release.

Another new tool called Post Recovery shows you a quick one if your post has been removed due to social rules. The prompt will include a removal message along with a link that allows you to quickly share your deleted post to a more appropriate subbreddit. To make sure you post in the right society in the first place, Reddit will now suggest relevant societies based on what you are writing through a drop -down menu in the upper left corner of the composer screen. It will now also show you whether a society has requirements, such as account age or minimum karma point before you can send.

The last tool may be most useful if you promote products and services on Reddit. Post Insights show you how many views, upvotes, shares and cross -posts your posts have been given, giving you an idea of what works when it comes to commitment. All tools other than rules checks are now available on the Reddit Web site and mobile app.
