India beat New Zealand in the final to win third title

KoldeP Yadav then had an immediate influence, Castling Ravindra with his first ball in the 11th over, before rejecting Kane Williamson in his next reduces New Zealand to 75/3.

India’s spinners took control of the middle overs and dried up the races as New Zealand went 81 balls without a limit.

Tom Latham fell cheaply before Glenn Phillips and Daryl Mitchell put together a hard-fought 57-run stand off 87 balls. Chakravarthy, however, broke the partnership by cleaning up Phillips in the 38th over, whereby New Zealand was 165/5.

New Zealand, who ran on Michael Bracewell’s counter-attack on 40-ball 53, staged a late resurrection and crushed 79 races in the last 10 overs.

Still, the Indian spin quartet of Axar Patel, KoldePe Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja and Varun Chakravarthy managed to play a key role that admitted only 144 races in the 38 overs the four bowled between themselves.

Among Indian Pacers, Mohammed Shami picked up Daryl Mitchell’s wicket and ended with the figures of 1/74.

India’s hunting began with Rohit Sharma hit a pull shot in six on the second ball in laps to put the tone. While Shubman Gill anchored the other end, Rohit Sharma drove to his 50 out of 41 balls in the 11th over with scores on 65/0.

The hunt appeared on the trail with the men in the blue cruise of 100 at only 17 overs. However, Glenn Phillips produced a moment of brilliance in the field and picked a one -handed stunner to remove Gill in the 19th. Over and broke the partnership.

Virat Kohli left shortly after, caught legs before by Michael Bracewell in the next over.

Like India’s spinners in the first place, the New Zealand tightened the screws in the middle overs. Rohit, who was looking to break free, charged the course against Rachin Ravindra in the 27th, but was blunted, leaving India winged at 122/3.

Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel gently rebuilt before changing gears when the question came down to 91 from the last 15 overs.

Iyer played with intent and picked calculated risks, but fell in 48 in the 39th over, which left India still needs more than one run-a-ball to cross the finish line.
