Espns Joe Lunardi shows three Big 12 -team on the bubble in NCAA -Tournament Projection

Joe Lunardi released his latest bracketology update Sunday morning and there are some real chaos buildings for the BIG 12 conference.

Despite being in the middle of what some describe as a “down year”, the Big 12 conference is still expected to place more national championship providers in the field. However, the drama comes when discussing the bubble.

Three teams from the league are currently noted on each side of the bubble, including BaylorAt Cincinnatiand TCU. The bears would do the tournament if it began today, while Cincinnati and TCU would narrowly miss.

When the regular season runs, Baylor sits at 9-9 in conference games, Cincinnati at 7-11, and TCU checks in with a 9-9 record. The bears took down Oklahoma State 71-61 in their last excursion, and TCU followed with a win over UCF, while Cincinnati fell to No. 4 Houston 73-64.

In the update, the BIG 12 was listed with eight total tournament teams, including Houston, Iowa State, Texas Tech, Arizona, Kansas, Byu, West Virginia and Baylor. Cincinnati was the next closest tournament team listed on No. 75.

Each team will have more opportunities to improve their stock before the NCAA tournament in 2025, and with the BIG 12 conference, which is largely considered the country’s best basketball league, it would not shock many to see a double-digit number of league members slip into the tournament field.
