Women’s Sec Tournament Championship live updates, highlights

game

It’s South Carolina vs. Texas part three for Women’s SEC Tournament championship.

Gamecocks and Longhorns is 1-1 against each other this season when Texas takes the latest matchup 66-62 at home. South Carolina won the first matchup between top-five ranked programs 67-50 earlier this season.

It’s also the fifth time South Carolina coach Dawn Staley and Texas coach Vic Schaefer have been exposed to in the SEC Championship Game, which goes back to Schaefer’s tenure in Mississippi State. Schaefer is 0-4 against Staley in the conference championship final.

It is an appropriate ending for both programs in the Women’s SEC tournament as the two teams were co-winners of SEC regular season and turned a coin to the No. 1 seed in the SEC tournament that went to South Carolina. Apart from a NCAA tournament matchup, it will be the crucial game between both power centers in 2025.
