Russell Henley wins Arnold Palmer Invitational for his first PGA Tour -Sejr since 2022

Orlando – Three shots separated Collin Morikawa from Russell Henley with five holes to play Sunday at Arnold Palmer Invitational.

It wasn’t enough.

Henley found magic in the last stretch of Bay Hill, with a birdie on par-3 14. And then a chip-in-ear on par-5 16. To grab his first PGA tour since 2022. Played in the final group together, the duo took their battle to the 18th hole where Henley had 3 meters and 4 inches. The 35-year-old natives in Georgia were typically undescribed after the victory, and only really broke into a smile after his daughter ran on the green.

Henley shot one last round 70 to finish at. 11 during the week, a shot in front of Morikawa. Henley played Bay Hill’s last five holes 3 below, while Morikawa was 1 over with a bogey the 14th.

Corey Conners finished in third place at 1 p.m. 9 Under.

Henley is in the midst of a resurgence in his career – Presidents Cup captain Jim Furyk rewarded his constant game with a captain’s choice last fall, and Henley found a partnership with Scottie Scheffler. Now he has a signature event-victory-his first victory of all kinds since November 2022 World Wide Technology Championship and should be considered an odds-on-election to be part of the Ryder Cup team this fall.

For Morikawa, this is more disappointment-it has been 504 days since his last victory, and he is considered the best player in the world without a victory since January 1, 2024. He emerged about his iron game on Saturday night after shooting a 67 to take the lead, but lost 1.51 battles approaching the green on Sunday, ninth world in the field.

Keegan Bradley set a Bay Hill Course record with a 29 on the front nine, vaulted himself from 27. To start the day in the top five with a round of 64. He stuck around the field to see what happened, but settled in a top-five finish.
