NFL Insider on potential Giants Aaron Rodgers Union

The next several days promise to be a wild vocalist of activity, with free agents signing with new teams, trading and other traits that will drastically change the face to all 32 NFL franchises.

New York Giants is expected to make one of their first traits by adding a quarterback, and according to Si.com’s Albert Breer, this quarterback could end up being Aaron Rodgers.

“The giants are at Rodgers and remain his most likely destination,” Breer wrote In his Sunday column.

In free agency, things can of course change in a New York minute, acknowledged something Breeer himself.

The Vikings could emerge as a team to look for Rodgers, especially with growing reports connecting Sam Darnold to Seahawks and uncertainty about what the old friend Daniel Jones, who according to various reports has a nice market that develops into its services, intends to do.

But returning to Giants, Breer added that if they land the future Hall of Famer, Giants “would probably pair him with a rookie that was drafted somewhere in the top 100.”

Giant’s General Manager Joe Schoen has expressed a desire to pair a veteran quarterback with a draft election. Breer’s report on the latter suggests that Giants may not be necessarily locked in on a first round of quarterback selection.

Rodgers is not the only veteran option that Giants have. Early on, there was a thought that Russell Wilson, who briefly flirted with the idea of joining Giants, could be an option if he did not return to Steelers.

But the unexpected VRI, where the Seahawks traded Geno Smith to Raiders, a step that potentially clears a path for Darnold to take his talents out to the emerald town, threw a monkey screw key in the quarterback carousel.

Buckle Up, Giants fans. It is formed to be an interesting week where we have at least half the plan at quarterback.
