Former New England Patriots and Not a Fan of Trade Joe Milton III

With a quarterback class that is short to be a starter, Joe Milton III is assumed to be a possible alternative for QB-Needy teams.

At NFL’s scouting combination, Patriots coach Mike Vabel did not shoot the possibility of Patriots 2024 sixth round being treated.

Milton, who entered the season finale against Buffalo Bills and improved his warehouse with the performance, was possibly a decent return.

However, former Patriot’s offensive coordinator Charlie Weis would not be so quick to stand out with the rocket -armed quarterback.

He sees him as an asset internally for the patriots like Drake Mayes Backup.

“They should give me an offer that I couldn’t refuse,” Weis said when asked about the opportunity to move Milton to a draft election or player. “I didn’t want to be looking to trade him.

“If you act him, you will have to replace him. Everyone likes to trade players away. Why don’t you keep him and develop him, so if the first guy goes down, you’re comfortable with where you are. “

Weis, who was part of three championships with the patriots, said he was impressed that Milton saw him playing in college in Tennessee.

“I thought the child had a lot of ability, and he does,” Weis said.

As for Maye, while Jayden Daniels (Washington) and Bo Nix (Denver) were Weis’ favorite QBs ahead of last year’s draft, he believes the Patriots starter has a promising future based on how well he went on last season.

“I liked him coming out. I thought it would take some spice, “Weis said of Maye,” but when he saw him playing during the year, he obviously has a lot of ability and there’s a lot to work with.

“I’m sure everyone is happy that they are not looking for a quarterback (this year). They got him. I’m sure that’s the case. “
