Balanced violation lets Cavs beat Bucks for 14. Just victory

Max Stras had 17 points to lead eight Cavaliers, scoring at least nine when Cleveland won 112-100 at Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday night.

Cleveland swept the four-game seasonal series against Bucks for the first time since the 2008-09 season and has won five in a row over Milwaukee overall.

Both teams came out of firing, with Cleveland entering the second quarter up 34-32 thanks to 56.5 percent shooting from the floor.

They got a bit of separation during the break as they led 62-52.

Strs had 14 of its points in the first half to lead Cleveland, while Antetokounmpo had 18 for Milwaukee. Cavs shot 10-for-26 beyond the arch (38.5 percent) compared to only 29.4 percent for Bucks.

In the third, Milwaukee pulled closer, but couldn’t get his deficit under four as Cavs entered the fourth up 84-77. Antetokounmpo and Lillard combined in 14 in the quarter to pull Bucks closer.

Cleveland turned out to be too much in the fourth, shooting 52.6 percent as a team and won the final frame 28-23. Dean Wade and Issac Okoro combined for 11 from the bench in the quarter to operate Cavs.

Milwaukee shot only 9-for-31 (29.0 percent) in addition to the arch, much lower than its average of 38.4 percent, which had them second in the league behind Cleveland (39.2), which shot 40.4 percent on Sunday.

Cleveland also won the turnover match 18-15 and led by as many as 19.
