NFL ROUNDUP: Bills gives Allen reported $ 330m extension as Steelers Trade for DK Metcalf | Nfl

The NFL MVP Josh Allen was rewarded on Sunday with a contract extension worth $ 330 million, with $ 250 million. Of that guaranteed, making him among the league’s highest paid players.

Buffalo Bills announced the agreement, while two people with knowledge of the agreement revealed the value of the contract for Associated Press. New Deal adds two years to Allen’s contract and locks the 28-year-old throughout the 2030 season.

The expansion comes after Allen became Bill’s Third Player, named NFL MVP, and the first since driving back Thurman Thomas did so in the 1991 season. New Deal darker Allen’s previous contract, a six-year $ 258M deal he signed with Buffalo in August 2021.

Allen has established himself as one of the league’s elite quarterbacks and rewritten almost any franchise one-season passing and scoring a record at his position. In doing so, he has overcome questions about his roughness and accuracy when Buffalo chose him with the No 7 election in 2018 draft out of Wyoming.

Just as important, Allen has solidified what had been a troubled position in Buffalo since the Hall of Famer Jim Kelly withdrew after the 1996 season. The bills under Allen have won five consecutive AFC East titles and are on a six-year playoffs. The only thing missing for Allen is a Super Bowl look. The bills have reached the AFC championship in 2020 and this last season only to lose both times to Kansas City.

The new contract is also expected to give Buffalo much needed savings under the salary taket, which will enter the league’s new business year, which opens on Wednesday. The bills were expected to be close to the Cap border after releasing veteran Kant Rusher von Miller earlier in the day. And the agreement follows GM Brandon Beane, who spends the last weeks locking in the young core of the team by signing the fourth year’s Kantrusher Greg Rousseau and third -year players Linebacker Terrel Bernard and receiving Khalil Shakir for four -year contract extensions.

Elsewhere on Sunday, the Seattle Seahawk’s two-time Pro Bowler DK Metcalf sends to Pittsburgh for at least another round of elections, sources with knowledge of the agreement to Associated Press told.

Metcalf had requested a trade from Seahawks last week. His emigration comes under a riotous stretch of Seattle that released Tyler Lockett-franchise’s second leading recipient-last Wednesday and then treated Quarterback Geno Smith to Las Vegas Raiders late on Friday.

The 27-year-old Metcalf also receives a new five-year deal worth $ 150 million as a speed to threaten any defense.

The next question for Steelers to answer is who throws the Metcalf ball. General Manager Omar Khan said at NFL Combine that all options are on the table. Russell Wilson or Justin Fields-AS combined to lead Pittsburgh to a 10-7 record last season-look to make the most sense in the short term.

Also on Sunday, the broad recipient accepted Davante Adam’s conditions on a two-year deal with Los Angeles Rams, bringing the three-time all-Pro back to his domestic California. Adams’ deal could be worth up to $ 46m with Rams moving on from the Super Bowl 56 MVP Cooper Kupp with Adams and Puka Nacua as the primary playmakers for Matthew Stafford. Adams has been one of NFL’s best recipients for almost a decade, starting with eight seasons with Rodgers and Green Bay Packers. He has six careers 1,000-yard seasons, including an active strip of five consecutive years with two 997-yard seasons.
