Death Stranding 2 gets 2025 release date, new trailer on SXSW

Death Stranding 2: On the beach Will be released on June 26 for PlayStation 5, Game Director and Kojima Productions founder Hideo Kojima announced Sunday under a panel on SXSW 2025 with a long new trailer for the game.

This trailer offered a new 10-minute look at Death Stranding 2 And its stars, including some fresh faces. The sequel to Action Game in 2019 will again star Norman Reedus as Sam Bridges, the package-potent from his biting story. Léa Seydoux and Troy Baker also return as fragile and higgs. Together with new characters, they get played by Elle Fanning (tomorrow), Shioli Kutsuna (rainy) and George Miller (Tarman). Luca Marinelli as Neil, Debra Wilson as a doctor and Alissa Jung as Luca Marinelli as Neil, Debra Wilson as doctor and Alissa Jung as Lucy. (There is also a como from Korean action star Lee Dong-Seok, alias Don Lee.)

Death Stranding 2‘s new trailer even seems to have a handful nods to Kojima’s previous game franchise, Metal Gear Solid. Marinelli’s Neil is unmistakably like a solid snake at one point, with the giant tar melts that merged with DHV Magellan – became the magellan man, Kojima said – giving Metal Gear Rex/Sahelanthropus vibes. In addition, there are plenty of gameplay action and history hints to chew on for death stranding fans.

Kojima Productions’ new trailer explains that Death Stranding 2 is set 11 months after the formation of the United Cities of America. Serve lines the beach and the deliveries have been automated, which apparently puts porters like Sam out of work. Chiralium from the beach continues to distort the environment (and the cats!), As a new fraction spreads its influence. But none of it seems to prevent Sam from doing his job.

IN Death Stranding 2‘s first trailer on the 2022’s The Game Awards, Kojima said his experiences during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 led him to rework the game’s screenplay, which will follow the events of the first playing journey across a post-apocalyptic America ravaged by ink black monsters known as stranded things.

The other, 10-minute trailer From a state of game power last year, the delivery company, for which bridges were being worked, showed has dissolved and a new organization called Drawbridge has risen in place. But as with all Kojima-led games, the exact details are grim.
